To schedule a packaged or custom trip with Woods and Water Ecotours, LLC (WWE), each traveler must complete, sign and submit a trip Reservation Form with a trip deposit per person or pay in full. You may pay by cash, check, Mastercard, or Visa. Upon receipt of your deposit and signed Reservation Form, your space will be confirmed and cancelation policies apply.

By Phone: You may call WWE office between and 10am-5pm to reserve a space for your trip. Your reservation will be penciled in until we receive your deposit check or money order and will hold your spot for 6 days. (906) 484-4157
Fax: Complete the Reservation Form and forward it to WWE by fax to reserve a space. Your reservation will be on record until we receive your deposit check or money order. Call us for our fax number.
DEPOSIT and PAYMENTS
Early reservations are encouraged to confirm your space. Reservations are accepted after having received $300 deposit per person per packaged trip or 50% of total cost for day trips, including a Reservation Form signed by each adult 21 years or older. The principle trip balance is due 90 days prior to departure. Failure to deliver complete payment 90 days prior to departure will be considered notification of cancellation by default and is subject to cancellation charges as stated below. Any balances are payable by check or credit card (plus additonal 3% finance charge). Woods & Water Ecotours reserves the right to deny participation to anyone whom it deems unsuitable for the rigors of the trip.
Groups of 6 or more people are eligible for discounts, if a reservation is made for scheduled trips 90 days prior to departure date. Call for more information.
CANCELLATIONS for PACKAGED TRIPS
Cancellation fees are based on the date your written notification for package trips is received at WWE. If Woods & Water is notified: - 90 or more days prior to trip departure; $50 administration fee/person is retained for packaged trips - 60-89 prior to departure; deposit will be retained. - 59-31 prior to departure; 50% of trip cost is retained. - 30 or fewer days prior to departure; full payment is retained. Medical emergencies do not constitute a refund. If there is some concern in advance regarding a possible cancellations due to this, then travel insurance is recommended.
Refund is available up to 1 week prior to trip date only for WWE guided day trips. An administrative fee of $25 will be held per person. No partial refunds are possible for any unused portion of your trip. Phone calls are sufficient notifications for day trips. Trips that include other businesses (like mushing and artisan workshops) are subject to their refund policies.
Due to many factors beyond our control we reserve the right to change our prices without prior notice, even after you have signed up. However, we do our best to avoid increasing prices without advance notice. Normal price increases generally are not passed on to participants who have already advanced a deposit. Normally, we include the cost of all guides, leaders, entrance fees, permits, accommodations, transportation, and meals as stated in the planned itinerary. Vegetarian and special diets can usually be accommodated. The cost includes profit and charges incurred by WWE for research, itinerary development, reservations, office administration, permits, and charitable contributions. It does not, however, include the cost of credit card fees. Quoted costs represent a complete package price; itemized individual costs are not available.
On receipt of your deposit and signed Reservation Form we will forward a comprehensive informational packet. This contains a map, checklist, and confirmation letter. You will receive a phone call to verify any questions and to update you on any final reminders 2-3 weeks prior to departure.
We reserve or recommend the best available, reasonably priced, hotels/lodges with private bath, hot water, good service and value. Prices are based on two persons sharing a double-bedded room. On camping/kayaking trips toilet tents, cooking equipment, and lanterns are provided. Participants must furnish their own clothing, day pack, tents, sleeping bags and pads, and duffel bag.
If you sign up 6 months before departure on a scheduled group trip, we will reduce the single supplement charge even if we do not find you a roommate. If single accommodation is requested, a single supplement fee will be charged. Single rooms may not always be available, especially in some camps and small hotels. There is no supplemental charge for singles on our camping-only trips. If you are willing to share a room, most trips have no extra charge. Charges may vary, if you are requesting a single room.
You are responsible for determining your fitness for any trip. By forwarding the deposit and signed Reservation Form, the participant certifies that he/she does not have any physical or other condition of disability that would create a hazard for him/herself or other participants. It is essential that any participant with a medical condition requiring regular treatment or which may be affected by vigorous activity, heat, cold, other natural phenomenon, or particular foods, notifies WWE and the trip leaders, in writing in advance of travel. WWE assumes no liability for medical care or for special dietary requirements. Participants may be required to furnish a doctors statement of good health. The judgment of WWE, or the local operator or guide, shall make the ultimate determination of an individual trip participant's fitness to embark upon, or to continue a trip. Once a trip has been confirmed medical circumstances will not be considered as exceptions to our cancellation policy.
EXTRA COSTS PROVISION
On all tours, weather can occasionally affect transportation. If, due to weather or other uncontrollable reasons, you are required to spend an additional night or change travel arrangements, you will be responsible for your own hotel, meals and transportation re-scheduling costs.
